    Victini (UU Analysis)



    Victini, the Victory Pokemon, is the only 5th generation Pokemon that had its own event already (two events in fact). In the every Pokedex in the Pokemon games, Victini is the only triple 0 number Pokemon (however, in the National Pokedex, it is number 494). It has a unique typing of Fire and Psychic. It has a fairly decent movepool, and very balanced stats. I’ve used my own personal Victini sets whenever I use it. Victini does have a good bit of weaknesses, being that both its types have numerous weaknesses. However, it does have some strong points to it. Being able to use Fire, it can defeat any bug types that (without the Fire typing) could KO it. Its movepool is pretty good too.

    The stats (coming from my Pokemon B/W book) would go like this:

    HP: Min=341/Max=404
    Attack: 100. Min- is 212. Min is 236. Max is 299. Max+ is 328.
    Defense: 100. Min- is 212. Min is 236. Max is 299. Max+ is 328.
    Sp. Attack: 100. Min- is 212. Min is 236. Max is 299. Max+ is 328.
    Sp. Defense: 100. Min- is 212. Min is 236. Max is 299. Max+ is 328.
    Speed: 100. Min- is 212. Min is 236. Max is 299. Max+ is 328.
    Like I said, very balanced, in fact, the only time it’s not balanced is when you add the EVs to it.


    Now, for my movesets for Victini:

    Victini @ Life Orb
    Trait: Victory Star
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    - Shadow ball
    - Thunderbolt
    - Psyshock / Psychic
    - Searing Shot / Fire Blast

    Victini @ Choice Scarf / Choice Band
    Trait: Victory Star
    Nature: Adamant / Jolly
    252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spe
    - V-create
    - Wild Charge
    - U-turn
    - Return

    Bolt Strike > Wild Charge -- it has no drawbacks. Something should be said about how Victini kills everything, including the toughest physical walls, due to its coverage. Not even Slowbro is safe.

    Yeah, Bolt Stike is better than Wild Charge. Also, Zen Headbutt / Brick Break > Return. It offers better coverage. Victini does have incredible power in V-Create; however, the stat drops leave it weak to being Pursuit bait, which is compounded by its Psychic typing. A Stealth Rock weakness also hurts, since Victini has to repetitively switch in and out because of the stat drops occuring after the usage of a single V-Create. It's a good Pokemon if it is well supported, though.

    Also, Rhyperior looks like a tough Pokemon for Victini to beat. Massive defenses coupled with a resistance to V-create makes it one of the biggest counters to it that exist, despite the lack of recovery.

    Rhyperior is a main counter to Victini, but must be careful of the Special set since it carries Grass Knot normally.

    Slowbro which is another of Physical Victini's best counters, even if it does need to be wary of Fusion Bolt and Grass Knot (Although, with Regenerator it can easily heal itself and switch out to an Electric/Grass resist).
