    SytheXP's Mixed Team Mashup

    Post by SytheXP on Sat Apr 28, 2012 11:38 pm

    Ok so a little information on my battle strategies first. In gen4 I began to EV train and breed my pokemon for some amazing move sets. I was undefeated in 99% of my battles on the wifi battles in D/P/Pt/HG/SS/Battle Rev. however this means little due to the amount of trainers and the lack of smart ones. My team at the time was comprised of a pokemon that could cover each type advantage and disadvantage without being at to much of a disadvantage themselves. My team was comprised of mostly sweepers with two rest tanks/annoyers just to stall out other pokemon my sweepers couldn't get past so easily. I recently sold all physical copies of my games but I enjoy the amount of strategy used in the battles and have taken up PO as sort of a fun thing to do. I stopped playing at gen4 and know nothing about gen5 really. So here is my current team with alternate pokemon swap outs that I have been using. I personally don't think they are to bad of a match up but the battles beg to differ and I wanted a few opinions on what I could sub out or change about my team to offer better battles and fewer losses as I don't like to lose Razz

    5th and 6th Pokemon Alternates/Subs
    ====================================
    I sub out my 5th and 6th slots usually with one of the 3 pokemon below. I also ocassionally sub garchomp for a choice scarf primeape.

    Ghost (Gengar) (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Levitate

    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

    - Sucker Punch

    Any thoughts? And perhaps maybe someone could give me a few suggestions on good 5th gen pokes? Ive noticed a lot of Tox Spike/Stealth Rock users as well so perhaps maybe I should include one or two of them? I have Golem and Drapion each with one of the moves but is there any that can learn both and effectively start whirlwind damaging pokes? Thanks for the help and also please rate the current team. I realize the nature of this thread seems as I am asking for advice but I do want you to rate my choices and give potential subs that would do better. Thanks again.
