Crispin by I forgot(I don't have the book in front of me)
It's about a nameles boy who's father and mother died during the fuedal system in midevil times. He runs away from his village when he's declared a wolf's head for a crime(s) he did not commit. It is up to him to experience freedom he never has before while at the same time being tracked down by people who want to murder him.Very descriptive book by the way.And it takes place after the Crusades

The Son of Neptune by: Rick Riordan. It's the second book in the Heroes of Olympus series and it is based [this time] around Percy Jackson, Hazel Levesque, and Frank Zheng. The trio must go to Alaska and free Death (Thanatos). It's a very good book, in my opinion.

With the advent of all these Bleach avatars (including mine), I'm surprised that no one has recommended it yet. For those of you outside of the loop, Bleach, by Tite Kubo, revolves around the life of a high-school teenager named Ichigo Kurosaki, who was gifted shinigami (death god / soul reaper) powers by Rukia Kuchiki, another shinigami. If you want more info on it, then read it yourself.

Another manga series I highly recommend is History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, by Syun Matsuena. Again, it revolves around the life and journey of a high schooler by the name of Kenichi Shirahama as he advances through the realm of martial arts guided by his masters. Again, if you want more info on the series, then read it.

I'm seconding both of Rick's recommendations. The anime versions are also a masterpiece. Since we're talking about mangas, I'd recommend Bakuman by Tsugumi Ohba, the same author of the popular Death Note series.

    Books I'd recommend:

    The Eragon series.
The Harry Potter series. (Ignoring anyhting non-cannon. I like the books more than the movies.)
    The Psychoanalyst, by John Katzenbach.
I myself enjoyed the Lords of the Rings in books too, though it takes patience...
The Golden Compass (There are another two or three books after it. They're all awesome.)

I hated Harry Potter everything they did was irrelevant to the story in the later books.
The first 2 were good though.
Oh I tried reading Twilight.I threw it away.

I would like to point out at this point out that the first book in the "his dark materials" is "northen lights" where as "The Golden Compass" was the movie adaptation (and not a good/accurate one.

But yes I would also recomend it.

Illusions: the Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, by Richard Bach, is an interesting read that I would recommend for anyone that is bored.

I only have read the Manga for Umineko: Tsubasa and Accel World, Since I finished off the main Percy Jackson Books, and can't get the newer ones unless my mom/dad buys them for me. (Because I don't get an allowance -/-")Umineko Tsubasa is about the two witches from the main series (Beatrice and Bernkastel) are granting a wish to someone on Tsubasa (Where you put a wish on a bamboo branch), Beatrice grants her friend Maria's wish of her mother always coming home, but sends her wish to the max. Bernkastel Grants Ange's wish of her family being able to come home(Her family was murdered, except for her aunt, who she later believed to be the culprit and she was, but she wasn't.Watch Banquet of the Golden Witch or Alliance of the Golden Witch.) but Bernkastel tells her in order for her wish to be granted that she can't allow her Aunt, Eva to become her 'mother'.

I just spoiled that whole fucking thing..
    And Finnaly, Accel world. :I
